Multiple Sample Holders for Quick Inspection

GMD is a portable Raman spectroscope that specialises in quick on-site material identification, particularly designed to inspect samples stored in different conditions.  No matter whether the samples are stored in a vial / cuvette, on a slide / SERS chip, naked or in a plastic bag, the materials could be identified directly and rapidly.

Multiple Laser Direction for Different Environments 

In addition to a variety of sample holders, the laser head could point downwards.  With an objective attached and the use of a sample stage beneath, the GMD could be used for measurements with higher accuracy, suitable for laboratory study.

The vertical head could also be switched to a horizontal head. With the flexibility of attaching different sample holders and objective, the GMD is able to overcome diversified environmental restrictions.

With an extended arm, a horizontal head and an objective, GMD is ideal for the authentication of large historical artworks where no samples could be collected from the subjects.

Portable Digital Raman Microscope

GMDc is a custom-made portable Raman microscope that utilises a high resolution digital camera with a high sensitivity image sensor.  The XYZ 3-axis manual sample stage ensures accurate positioning with the aid of the digital image. This all-in-one compact system allows measurements to be carried out with great flexibility and mobility.

Laser Safety & Noise Reduction 

In addition to the laser safety cover and laser temperature stabiliser, the enclosed chamber also reduces environmental noises.  The sample stage could be controlled from outside, making GMDX an ideal alternative for conventional bulky Raman microscope in terms of field application, including chemical, medical, pharmaceutical, botanical, biological, forensic and mineral research.
